Sensory Bag

We started school about a month ago. Homeschooling a special needs child is a challenge and there are days where I want to rip my hair out. My daughter has never had any type of schooling so her attention span is that of a preschooler and to add on top of all that-her learning disabilities. She gets frustrated very easily with school work. We can do about 30 minutes of work then her brain shuts off and needs to restart.

While I was searching the internet about sensory jars-click here for that post- I came across this idea. And I am so thankful that there are creative people in this world posting great ideas as this one. I am not that creative with coming up with ideas. I can expound on them but not have original, creative thoughts. I couldn’t find the post where I got this idea so you’ll have to forgive me.

Here are the instructions: You take a ziplock bag, put 1 to 1 ½ cups of inexpensive hair gel into the bag, add sequins or glitter, tape the bag shut and tape it to the glass door.
